Hey guys! In today's video, I'm going to be sharing with you how to make money as a teenager. I know that it's hard for teens to earn money, especially if you're under 15 and can't work yet.

So I have 20 different ideas for you and separated them into two categories: online businesses and local businesses that you can run as a teen. I’ve actually tried out a couple of these, so I’ll share my experience too. I hope you love this video, so let’s get into it!

The first category is online businesses for teens. First up, we have Redbubble. Basically, all you need to do is make some cute designs. You don't even have to be an amazing artist—just anything you can think of. Upload it to your store, and when you get an order, Redbubble will turn it into a sticker, t-shirt, pillow, or literally anything. You can make money off of that passively, which is amazing!

This is especially great if you’re an artist. I’ve seen many teenagers be really successful with this. It’s super easy to manage because you only need to upload the art once, and Redbubble takes care of shipping and customer service. So it's a really fun way to make money!

The next idea is to start an Etsy shop. Now, you might be thinking, “What am I going to sell?” Don't worry, I got you! Here are a few ideas:

  1. Aesthetic makeup bags: These are really cute, and there are tutorials on YouTube for this.
  2. Stickers: You can make your own stickers and list them on Etsy. Stickers are super popular!
  3. Bookmarks: Bookmarks are a great thing to sell; they're inexpensive to make.
  4. Aesthetic candles: These have been trending for a long time, so there’s definitely a market for them.
  5. Friendship bracelets: There’s a huge market for these, especially if they are cute and unique.

If you literally don't have any more ideas, think about any hobby you have that’s handmade, and you can sell that. This can expand as you grow. Starting as a teenager is great because you can get ahead, and maybe by the time you're 20, it could be a full-time business if you choose the right product and put in enough work.

The next way to make money as a teen is to sell your old clothes. Go through your closet and separate the clothes you like from those you don't. Wash the clothes that you’re selling because it shows consideration for other people. Take professional pictures, and sell them on apps like Poshmark, Depop, eBay, or Mercari. You can begin by selling your old clothes and then move to buying and flipping thrift items.

The next online business idea is to be a freelance writer. A freelance writer writes for various companies on a job-by-job basis. It's super flexible; just remember to meet your deadlines. You can check platforms like Upwork and Fiverr. Minimum age requirements may vary, so be sure to look into that.

If you’re interested in video, consider starting a YouTube channel. I do this, and yes, I do get paid from YouTube if I’m monetized and put ads on my videos. You can start with just a phone or any device you have. It took me about a year to be monetized, but it could vary for you. You’re welcome to join our amazing community!

If you don’t want to show your face, consider making faceless vlogs or videos with an overhead view, like nail designs—just show your hands and use your voice or background music.

Now, let’s look at local businesses you can start as a teenager. These are really fun and could actually make you some money.

First of all, you could tutor younger kids. You can teach art, sports, math, English, or even a different language. You don’t need to be an expert; you just need to be knowledgeable enough to help someone understand.

Next is dog walking. Many people in your neighborhood likely have dogs that need to be walked. This job is flexible, allowing you to do it after school, and it’s a fun way to get some exercise.

Another option is to wash cars. Think about how many cars are on your block—those people need their cars cleaned! This is a great business to start because all you need is water, soap, and towels.

Babysitting is another opportunity. If you enjoy spending time with kids, this can be very rewarding. You can also be a mom’s helper, where you take care of kids while the parents are at home.

You might also consider selling baked goods. You could become known as the "cake girl" at your school, making custom cakes for birthdays or events.

If you have a camera, you can do photography for local events like school dances or graduations. Offering your services for a lower price than professional photographers could help you gain business quickly.

You could also cut grass or clean windows for neighbors. These are services that everyone needs, especially during busy seasons.

Then, let’s talk about jobs for teens. Some jobs may require you to be over 15, so check your local regulations. Here are some ideas:

  1. Camp counselor during summer camps.
  2. Lifeguarding at a local pool or beach.
  3. Being a remote tutor on platforms like Zoom.
  4. Remote babysitting, where you supervise kids virtually.
  5. Working at a local shop, especially during busy seasons.
  6. Considering a paid internship for older teens, which can be great for gaining experience.

Lastly, it’s not a way to make money, but if you have free time, volunteering is amazing. You can help those in need and it’s often more rewarding than earning money.
