I've compiled 100 deadlock tips and tricks and put them all in this one video. Yeah, with 100 tips, I can almost guarantee you'll learn something new to improve at the game.

This first tip is crucial during the Laning phase. When you're expecting the enemy to melee, finish a trooper quickly, dash to it, and parry. This works way more often than you expect, and it makes for some really easy early game kills.

The next tip lets you wall jump, and the best part is that it doesn't use any stamina whatsoever. What you want to do is jump into the wall, then hold the movement key that takes you away from the wall and hit jump. So if the wall is straight ahead of me, I'm jumping at the wall, holding S, and then jumping again. You can also wall jump sideways with either A or D. And with enough practice, you can even do a backwards wall jump with W.

Typically, you can't use your abilities while carrying the urn, but there are some abilities like Haz's smoke bomb, where you can keep the effect by using it first and then picking up the urn. Also, regarding the soul urn, the player who delivers it not only gets extra souls but they also get a free ability point, which could help you get ahead of your enemies.

Underneath all the players, there is a white circular icon. This indicates their ultimate status, and you should always keep an eye on them so you aren't caught off guard when an enemy uses their ultimate against you. Oh, and you should also know that every hero unlocks their ultimate at exactly 3,000. This is very important to note because, in the Laning phase, one ultimate could be the difference between you either winning or losing your lane.

Did you know there's a trick to get the perfect timing on your dash jump every time? First, you want to dash and then look at your stamina bar. Once it turns blue, hit your space bar, and you'll get the dash jump every time.

When you're at the edge of a piece of cover, your hero will automatically lean, so peeking in and out with leaning makes it difficult for enemies to shoot because they only get to see about half of your body. You can melee a viscous cube to make it slide away from you, and I suggest punching it into the middle of your team or towards one of your guardians or walkers to get an easy kill.

Hold alt on your keyboard to see the distances away from you. This will help you develop a deeper understanding of the range of your abilities and the damage drop-off on your weapon. Try out every hero in the game. It's going to be hard, but you'll quickly pick up each hero's strength and how exactly you should be playing against them. But you'll also pick up on their weaknesses. You can take advantage of them and really focus on that Achilles' heel, that weakness they have, so you can just destroy them.

You can see where a teleporter is taking you by looking for the flashing arrow on the minimap. When you deliver the urn, a lot of the souls can be denied by shooting them. To counter this, get your body between the enemy and the souls. So instead of shooting the solarbs, they're stuck shooting at your back.

Tier 1 upgrades have significantly better value per soul. When we look at the tier one upgrades, you get an additional 11% base health for a 500 soul item. But then the 6200 soul items only give you an extra 20% base health. That's over 12 times the amount of souls for less than double the base health. It's a similar story for weapon and spirit upgrade. So in my opinion, you should get a lot of the Tier 1 upgrades before you start saving for the more expensive ones because that base boost you get really starts adding up.

Parrying works no matter what direction you're facing. With this in mind, if you're facing away from your enemy, pay close attention to the sound of them charging a heavy melee. As soon as you hear it charging, hit that parry button, and most of the time you end up stunning them and probably get an easy kill.

A lot of passive abilities still have a cooldown. For example, headshot booster only gives you that extra bonus headshot damage once every 7.5 seconds. So even if you don't have the best aim, it doesn't really matter because you only have to hit one headshot every 7.5 seconds. It's not like every shot has to land on the head.

When you see one of these icons pop up on your screen, that means the cooldown on your passive ability reset. Meinness Turrets can shoot through cosmic veils, making it a great place to place them, so you catch enemies by surprise. If you don't know how to get the different flex spots, all you have to do is hold tab, then hover over the lock symbol, and it will give you a brief description on exactly how to unlock them.

You have infinite ammo while sliding, and sliding is just very underutilized in general. With those extra builds, you can easily win a 1v1 or increase your damage uptime while farming. This right here is a healing trooper, and heals you for 40 health every six seconds. So if you see a green line connecting you to the healing trooper, you know that you're in range, and especially in the early game, you want to play near your healing trooper to out-sustain your opponent, and that's also why you should try to target and eliminate the enemy healing trooper as soon as possible. Yeah, if you see all the troopers in a line, focus a healing trooper first every time.

It might sound simple, but this trick makes a huge difference during the lane phase when there aren't many other healing options. Some abilities can cancel your heavy melee, and this is extremely helpful when someone tries to parry you. Just charge up your heavy melee, and then if they do decide to parry, use your ability, and it will cancel it. If you don't know, parry does have a cooldown, so when they come out of their parry, you can just heavy melee them again, and they can't do one thing about it.

You can carry a teammate who has the urn to quickly get across the map. Using the strat with a friend every time the urn is available can quickly give you a soul lead. Next is one of my favorite item combos in the game. First, you want Intensifying Magazine, which increases your weapon damage as you continuously fire your weapon. Then you want Quicksilver Reload, which instantly reloads your weapon and increases your fire rate after using an ability. This straight up doubles your ammo, letting you get the most out of Intensifying Magazine and is great for team fights and also amazing for farming.

Jungle Mo and Krill have two headshot hitboxes, of course, one for Mo and one for Krill, but I recommend aiming for Mo's head (AKA the Mole) because it is much larger and if you miss, you'll still be hitting body shots. The one exception is if they're facing the other way, in which case you can't see most heads, so you just have to go for the smaller hitbox up top.

Also, a little visual weird thing I noticed: if you hit Mo's head, it actually has the bullets coming out of Kril's head, which is a little weird. You can find these wind fans around the map. They act like jump pads. Then you get around without wasting stamina. Change up your key bind to get something that suits you. Leaving your abilities on 1, 2, 3, and 4 is going to make it difficult to quickly use them while still having good movement.

Practice claiming soul orbs in the sandbox. It even shows you the milliseconds it takes you to shoot them, so you can train to improve your score. I recommend trying to consistently get a score of 350 or less. Once you get lower than that, it's kind of diminishing returns at that point, so I would just suggest learning something new. But yeah, try to get 350 or less.

Not only does the Rejuvenator cut your respawn timer in half, but it also buffs your team troopers for three minutes. The troopers will be much stronger and will automatically push all the lanes that the enemies aren't keeping up with. You can double tap crouch to fall to the ground faster. This is really good when jumping off buildings or when playing a hero like Grey Talon or Vindicta.

Yeah, you're a very easy target when you're slowly falling or just sitting in the sky with no cover. So this is a quick easy way to get out of the sky and actually make it harder for enemies to kill you. The first letter of each lane name corresponds to its color, which is good to know because sometimes the heroes or your teammates will call a lane by its actual name and you need to quickly interpret what they’re saying.

You can parry a guardian's melee to take a bit less damage when you're near them. As Beatbop, there's a short charge-up time before your weapon starts firing. You could also hold down right-click to charge it up before firing, which you should always be doing when confirming or denying soul orbs.

By holding tab and then using your mouse and middle click, you can ping a location on the map. You can also draw on the map using left click, which is actually really useful at communicating with your team and letting them know where you want them to go. For instance, every time I'm running the urn, I'll ping and draw around the urn drop-off so my team knows they should go there and defend me.

Use teleporters more often. They’re perfect for getting around the map quickly and catching enemies on opposite lanes by surprise. If you're going the entire match without using a teleporter, then you're seriously under-utilizing them.

A couple of minutes ago I showed you how to wall jump. Now, my favorite and probably most important wall jump location is at the secret shop. There have been so many times where I ran into this room with enemies chasing me, and the only reason I survived was because I hit this wall jump. It's definitely something worth practicing, and if you’re enjoying this video so far, take a second to drop a like to support the video. It lets me know that you guys like this sort of content, and if I get enough likes, I'll keep creating deadlock videos.

A power-up will spawn on these bridges at exactly 10 minutes and then they respawn every five minutes after that. They are really strong, and you should be going out of your way to get them. You charge up a heavy melee and then the enemy parries. Quickly flick your mouse to melee the opposite direction and avoid the stun. It also doesn’t hurt you too much because the enemies can’t shoot back while they are parrying.

You can see the stat timers on the left side of your screen. This will show you things like the power-ups you pick up and your zipline speed boost, but it also shows negative effects enemies put onto you. For example, a pocket's affliction. It will show you a red bar on the left side of your screen, so you know exactly how long it's going to be affecting you.

You need to work out a balance between how much you're confirming and denying trooper souls during the laning phase and how much you’re shooting your enemies. It all depends on your hero and how aggressive the enemies are playing. For example, if I'm playing Haze, I'm going to be shooting the enemies a lot more often because the more you shoot them, the higher stacks it builds up, so the more damage you'll be doing. And then if they overextend, you can quickly use your sleep dagger against them and punish them to get the free kill.

But then if you're playing a hero that doesn't benefit much from shooting the enemies, then I would just suggest trying to get as many trooper souls as possible while pushing your lane. If you click on an enemy player on the top of the screen, it will indicate that they are missing, which lets your team know that they should be on the lookout. But then if you click on a teammate's player icon, it will tell them to be careful, which is great to use if you notice they are overextending or if there's a lot of enemies near them.

Make sure you always reload and have ammo available when you or the enemies finish a guardian or a walker, especially the walkers because they spawn a ton of souls, and you want to be getting as many of them as possible. A massively underrated early game item is the Amos Scavenger. For only 500 souls with max stacks, it gives you 24 spirit power. That's 50% more than the base spirit power you get for the 6200 soul items.

You can see your teams and the enemy health bars. Always keep an eye on them to tell whether your team is going to win or lose a fight. And if you go help them out. During the laning phase, when enemies are going to the shop, throw your bombs and your large AoE effect abilities. Throw them at the shop. You can get a lot of free damage, and if they have their shop tab open, they might not even realize what's going on and they have nowhere to go.

Do your best to steal the enemy Rejuvenator even if you do die. If you get it, I consider that a win, and you're going to have a faster respawn either way. Of course, if it's 1v6 or like 2v6 against players with stuns, it's probably not worth it, but if you think you have a chance of stealing it, I say go for it.

You can shoot between heavy melee for maximum damage by just holding your melee key and left-click the entire time. If you want some good hero builds, click on the Browse Builds button on the top right of your shop tab. A lot of them will be outdated, though, and they might say that they're updated recently, but a lot of people just quickly change one thing just so it says it's updated, so they're not always the best to use. But if you want me to make build videos for your favorite heroes, let me know in the comment section down below and also tell me what heroes you want to see.

Use the Soul Orb spawner in your base when you need a few more souls for your next upgrade. Go to your settings and set up some quick cast options for your abilities so you can use them much faster. Also, in your settings, you can set different key binds for each hero, which is really nice because you can customize everything to suit your playstyle.

Heavy melee around a corner, which is what I recommend doing because it makes it much harder for the enemies to react and parry. Try to get into the habit of glancing at your minimap every few seconds. You always want an idea of where the enemies are and where your teammates are so you don't find yourself getting outnumbered.

Viscous is okay, that's a little weird to say, but yeah, his Puddle Punch is technically a melee ability, so items like Melee, Lifesteal, and Spirit Strike are activated when you use it. Also, since it's a melee ability, it secures souls when you use it on a trooper. Each hero has its own unique move speed and spirit. Because of this, I would try to get the hero with the most movement speed to run the urn whenever possible.

It's also worth noting that a lot of the heroes have a sprint speed of zero, so it's impossible to sprint with them unless you buy sprint boots or enduring speed after killing your enemies or forcing them to retreat. Steal your jungles to help build a soul lead against them.

At the end of the day, Deadlock is a third-person shooter, so take advantage of this by peeking around corners while staying hidden. The fastest method to destroy the Sinner sacrifice is with only heavy melees, and if you didn't already know, you can hold down your melee key and it will keep on using heavy melee at max. But you do need to be careful because every time you punch the Sinner sacrifice, it deals about 40 damage to you, and in the early game, that damage is something you should not overlook.

Tailor your items and your armor to the enemy damage. What you want to do is check out the incoming damage, and if most of it is bullet damage, then invest in bullet armor. But then, of course, if most of it is spirit damage, then invest in spirit armor. Every time you respawn, take a look at the minimap to see where the available jungle farms are. The lane with the most available jungle farms is where I like to go most of the time to build up souls.

At a 10-minute mark, 100% of the trooper souls come from the orbs they release, so at that point, it becomes especially important to be denying the enemy souls. Melee damage scales directly with weapon damage, so if you're going for a melee build, make sure you're buying items that do increase your weapon damage.

This next item combo is super strong. In the early to mid game, you want to buy Hollow Point Wart, which gives you bonus damage when you're above 60% health. And then you also want Restorative Shot, which heals you for 40 health every 5.5 seconds. If you shoot one shot into an enemy hero, these two upgrades together give you a 41% weapon damage boost as long as you have over 60% health, which is pretty easy to do with Restorative Shot constantly healing you, plus they only cost 500 souls each. You can get them really early.

Now I got another nice item combo. I like to run Monster Rounds and then try to rush Tesla Bullets. This will help you take out trooper waves quickly and will also help you with jungling. You can parry Viscous Puddle Punch, but it does require some very fast reaction times.

Because bullets take time to travel through the air, the player closer to the troopers will usually have the advantage when confirming and denying souls. But if both players shoot it at close to the same time, it will give the souls to the confirmer. Always try to bait Bebop's Hook before pushing him. Once he uses his hook, he is a lot easier to deal with.

They also notice that most Bebop players panic once they lose theirs. If you find the match is full of constant team fights and you keep on losing them, try your best to ignore the fighting and start pushing lanes and jungling to build a good soul lead. You can see how many unsecured souls you have on the bottom left of your screen. These souls will automatically become secure over time, but if you die, you'll lose all of them and your enemies can steal them.

So if you're running around with a lot of unsecured souls, I would play safe and try to get to a shop as soon as possible to spend them. You carry more momentum by crouch dismantling off ziplines than by jumping off them. It also gets you to the ground quicker, so you aren't floating in the air as an easy target.

If you are clearly winning a 1v1, do not heavy melee. All it takes is one parry to completely turn around the fight, and a lot of players parry instinctively when they know they’re about to die. So it's just something you should definitely not be doing. If they are low on health, a light melee will do the trick.

The jungle farm respawn timer will only start once every mob is killed. Use this to your advantage for the enemy jungles on their side of the map: eliminate all the mobs except for one. It will give you most of the souls but keeps them from respawning for the enemies to use. The lines under the jungle map icons show their tier. Stay away from the high-tier jungles until you have sufficient items; otherwise, you end up wasting way too much time trying to take them out, and you would just get more souls if you are pushing lanes.

Minimize the amount of time you spend with three or more players in a lane, as it will split the trooper souls between the three of you, and you will be missing out on souls elsewhere. You don’t need to melee crates and statues to break them. Simply dashing or sliding into them will work the same. Also, the buffs you get are so strong, and you should be destroying all of them in your path.

When an enemy is pushing up on your lane without full health, speed boost onto them, and it will almost always lead to an easy kill for the one pushing up. Recognize that the enemies will have the same strategy in mind to try to avoid overextending. Using your ultimate to kill one solo player is percent worth it. It's much more reliable than going for a team kill and allows you to start the cooldown for your next ultimate right away.

The blue glow around your hero on a zipline means that you won't get stunned. If you take damage before this glow, any enemy that shoots you will knock you off of the zipline. Even though the enemy's lane shop glows, you can't use them, but they do have a secret shop you can use. Just be careful as it is in the middle of the enemy side of the map, so they can quickly collapse on you.

Haze can sleep enemy guardians, making it easy to push up and finish off any enemies hiding behind them. In playing Vindicta, your enemies will have this electrical glow. Look to them when they are low enough to one-shot with your sniper, but keep in mind you still might have to charge up your shot in order to kill them.

Play extra cautiously against the lady guys as your ultimate swaps your health with hers. The range is only 7 meters before she gets any upgrades, so I recommend keeping your distance when she is low and has her ultimate. If you're playing her, I recommend getting Phantom Strike, which lets you teleport to the enemy, slowing them, disarming them, and then you can use your ultimate for almost a guaranteed kill.

Magic Carpet is massively underrated; it lets you get across the map insanely fast and is a great pick for any hero where you want to get close up to take a fight. Using Unstoppable plus your ultimate makes for some easy eliminations. They can’t stun you out of your ult if you have Unstoppable, so you can easily take them out. Oh, and with Abrams, if you upgrade his ultimate, he automatically gets Unstoppable every time he uses his ult, so there’s no need to buy the item.

Debuff Remover completely removes Pocket's Affliction from you. It also removes any sticky bombs Bebop attaches to you. But if you want to protect your team from Bebop, you want to buy a Rescue Bean. It lets you override Bebop's hook and pull your teammates towards you while also healing them. If you're against the team with a lot of healing by Toxic Bullet, it drops their healing by 65%, making them so much easier to kill, and you can also get Reick Shet to get this effect on the enemy team.

If you're low on health in lane after killing the enemy heroes, either by healing rift to get back to full health or speed boost back to spawn to heal up. You don’t want to wait for them to come back as they will have full health and full abilities, which will make it very easy for them to take you out with any close-range fighting heroes.

Torment Pulse is very, very strong. It does never-ending spirit damage to enemies close to you, and the damage scales with your spirit power. Then when you combine it with other items that cause buffs to the enemy when they take spirit damage, it makes you a nightmare to deal with. I plan on making a video soon on how strong this item can be and the combo you can use with it, so turn on notifications if you want to see that.

When your team is far behind in souls, I would try to focus hard on running the urn every five minutes. Securing the souls from the urn can quickly build up your entire team's souls and give you a chance for a comeback.

Use the knockdown ability item to knock players out of the sky. It's great for Vindicta, Grey Talon, or even a flying IV. Always try to plan ahead in your builds by buying items that build into other items. This also helps save item slots, so you don’t need to sell anything for space.

Melee is very forgiving with its area of effect damage. You can punch things that are completely out of your reach. You can also punch multiple things at once if you go between them. Always be prepared to parry when enemies are playing close. You will almost always win the fight if you stun the enemy, especially if they’re playing melee-focused heroes like Abrams or Shiv.

You should always be expecting the melee. The ziplines on the outer lanes are faster at 21 meters per second, while the inner lanes are only 18 meters per second. Then, once you destroy the two base guardians in a lane, it will automatically give that lane a permanent speed boost.

Use teleporters to escape from enemies. These portals have gotten me out of countless bad situations where I would have died without them. Middle click one of your abilities to let your team know it's ready and that you want to use it. Or if it's on cooldown, it will tell them when you will have it again, and this is great for team abilities like Dynamo's Singularity, where you want your team close by for the follow-up damage.

I’m sure you learned something new in this video, but even with all these tips, you will still suck if you can’t aim, which is why you should check out this video so you can aim like a pro. Thanks for watching, and I'll see you in the next video.
